French General

French General

I came across this site awhile back and I tend to frequent it and do my usual interactive window shopping. This is where I shop a site for a length of time, making up excuses for why I need each little thing, place them in my "shopping cart," only to realize about an hour later that I have hit the hundred dollar mark and have nor real use for anything, I have romanticized how crafty I am and then quicky close the window and flee. Note: It is possible to do this in real stores as well and I often employ a similar technique, standing at the register with an armful of clothes and when the line seems a bit too long, I realize: I can get out now free of charge. Kinda pointless and oddly satisfying.

Although sometimes it does backfire. For example after one of my recent episodes, I received an order of 5 pairs of knee socks in the mail after trolling Sock Dreams late at night.

Anyway, French General is a really unique site and I just happened to be inspired by their main page collage this month. Kinda reminds me of Twig & Thistle's  Valentine's DIY project. So cute and vintage looking!
