Adventures with Ruth
Saturday, January 23, 2010 at 11:57AM I wont bore you with how outraged I still am over the closing of Gourmet magazine (even months later) but let me just say there will never be another food magazine with the quality of photography, recipes and even letters from the editor. My subscription was replaced with Bon Appetit which is okay, but I still miss the voice of Ruth Reichl. Since reading Garlic and Sapphires I have become enamored with Ruth's voice and her way of describing food as a transcendental experience. Luckily I came across her new show and I'm happy to say that it pretty much does the trick. I didnt even know I wanted to go to China until I saw this episode.
