American Macarons

Its no secret that I am completely obsessed with french macarons. Problem is, no one does them quite like the parisians. Just this very day I was oogling Pierre Herme's new flavors, wondering if they ship to the US (they do not). However seems that my favorite (and local) chocolatier L.A. Burdick knows the way to my heart and has given them the old college try, to rave reviews! Mmm pumpkin flavor! Now, if the packaging is half as pretty as Laduree, well, um... color me happy!
