Spring is here!

Happy first day of Spring everyone! I spent the day repainting our kitchen a creamy white (Benjamin Moore's Lambskin) and putting my winter coats into storage. Spring cleaning is so theraputic and essential to get me into the mood for sunny weather. Next on the list: a big bunch of daffodils!

April Showers wish list

These sleek and stylish booties from Loeffler Randall have a back zip. Um dur!? For anyone who has considered having to sleep in her rain boots because she doesnt have a willing participant to fight that weird suction thing that happens with rubber boots.. well, this is huge. A zipper.

I have been very taken with rings recently and I like the idea of adopting some gold faves that become fixtures for every outfit. I'm starting to feel not so in love with the jewelry I own, which leaves me wearing none most of the time, which leaves me feeling well, naked. I think pinky rings are emerging as a trend, and I especially love the idea of a subtly monogrammed one the way kater from All this Happiness is doing it above.

This little cutie skirt has been popping up on almost every blog I follow recently but that doenst stop me form wanting to nab it for myself, wear it tomorrow with some grey tights and then seamlessly integrate it into my spring wardrobe. Looks like some fabulous wallpaper you'd see in a bed and breakfast. Oh Steven alan.

At first I wasn't so keen on the idea of my beloved Liberty of London doing a line for Target. Mostly because Target tends to degrade great brands with cheap fabric and lackluster quality. Then I saw some of the stuff and it was pretty cute so I had to get off my high horse. Then I tried to purchase said items and they were all sold out, so I had to get right back on my high horse and ride off to bitterly blog about the cuteness. Foiled again!

Curried chicken salad

Everyone has that one dish that always reminds them of home, and for some reason for me, it is my mom's curried chicken salad. It immediately brings to mind sunny picnics and lemonade. I don't know where the recipe originally came from, but this is one of my mom's old standards that I love to make a big batch of and snack on all day long. Get the full recipe here.
